Ms Powles is a former police Detective sergeant, with over 17 years’ experience in investigative roles and producing documents for court. Having spent the last decade in child protection, she has a wealth of knowledge in safeguarding and multi-agency collaboration. Ms Powles has handled complex domestic abuse cases, securing convictions and working alongside various agencies to support witnesses. 

This background has equipped her with the expertise to support individuals navigating the family court system.

Having personally experienced the emotional challenges of family law, she has transferred her skills to those needed of as McKenzie Friend, offering empathetic and practical assistance to others.

She is a qualified registered intermediary, specialising in facilitating communication for children and vulnerable adults. Holding qualifications in communication skills, neurodiverse conditions, and mental health first aid, ensuring tailored support for each client.

As your McKenzie Friend, her goal is to guide you through the legal process with clear explanations and compassionate support. She will empower you with the knowledge to navigate the family court with confidence and peace of mind.
